Final Fantasy series is well known to use some of the best CG movies in the game industry,
and Final Fantasy XII is no exception. Here you can download some of the
Full Motion Videos used in the game! Even if you haven't played the game yet, there are still
some trailers and special videos available for your viewing pleasure. The following videos are
available in various formats. Make sure that you have the required movie-playback softwares
properly installed in order to play the movies in their corresponding formats.
NOTE: All movies below are available in several different formats -
MPEG-2, XVID and H.264/AVC.
MPEG-2 is for playback on PC with
Media Player Classic
or other DVD-playback software installed.
XVID is also for playback on PC, and it requires
XVID video codec.
H.264/AVC MP4 can be played on PC with media player that supports the H.264/AVC MP4 format, such as VLC media player.
To play the 480x272 (or below) version of MP4 on PlayStation Portable (PSP),
click here for steps.
Connect the Memory Stick used by your PSP to your computer, using card reader, USB
connection to your PSP (read your PSP manual for this), or other ways.
Create a folder called "MP_ROOT" right beside the "PSP" folder in your Memory Stick.
The resulting folder structure of your Memory Stick should be like the followings.

Unzip the files downloaded, and transfer the whole unziped folder (xxxxNV01) to the
"MP_ROOT" folder of your Memory Stick. The final resulting folder structure of your
Memory Stick should be like the followings.

Mxxxxxxx.THM
Insert the Memory Stick back to your PSP, and enjoy!
NOTE: Some of the PSP videos are available in 2 different formats - MPEG-4 and H.264/AVC.
MPEG-4 works on all versions of PSP. H.264/AVC is an advanced, next-generation video codec
which is supported on PSP as a Memory Stick movie format ONLY with Firmware 2.0 or above installed (2.50+ is RECOMMENDED).
It provides much better visual quality under the same filesize
when compared with the old MPEG-4 format.
All PSP movies have been optimized for 16:9 wide screen display. Please use
the "Full Screen" mode of PSP to watch these movies.
The latest version of PSP Firmware can be downloaded from either the "Network Update"
function on your PSP, or the following Sony PSP websites.
