Known issues for Linux version of System Animator (v10.9) - On Electron 4 and up, some Linux systems may recognize "electron" as a "shared library" instead of an executable, which means double-clicking to run (in a GUI environment) may not work. A simple solution is to run "electron" from Terminal. Once you have your first System Animator window up and running, go to Settings, click "Desktop shortcut" and from now on, you can run System Animator (electron) directly by using the shortcut. - "Stay on desktop" mode (or wallpaper mode) does not work. - Background transparency is currently broken on the Linux version of Electron. As a workaround, the animation background is filled with the current desktop wallpaper. - Tray menu may not work on some distros of Linux. As a workaround, application menu is configured to serve similar purpose. - Disk and network activity monitors are currently not supported. You may still choose them on the settings panel but they won't do anything. - XUL mode of System Animator does not work on Linux.
