RPGD Markup Language Reference

Welcome to RPGD Markup Language (RPGDML) Reference. Here you will be able to find the full documentation of RPGD Markup Language, the core game-constructing language used in Role-Playing Game Director to define all game elements.

Since RPGD Markup Language is designed based on XML, you should know at least some basics of XML before you move on to the next topic. Make sure you understand the terms element, value and child element in XML. If you are not sure, please refer to the XML section on my RPGD homepage.

To navigate through the elements used in RPGDML, use the tree menu on the left. To expand an element and view its supported child elements, click on the book image. To see its description, click on the name of the element.

Notice the use of the following images in the tree menu to represent the types of supported values of an element.

Notice the use of the following font styles in the tree menu to represent different types of elements.
