Thanks for downloading "Chrono Cross Desktop Theme"! There may be other
Chrono Cross Themes on the Web, but it will definitely be one of the BEST
and the most INNOVATIVE one you can find! Guaranteed! ^_^

Please make SURE to read the WHOLE file as it contains some critical
information on how you can install some special components so that you can
enjoy it to the maximum extent.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you use WinZip, do NOT use the WinZip Wizard option!
It will NOT unzip all the files required by the Theme, resulting in the
Active part of the Theme not working properly. Please use WinZip Classic or
any other unzipping programs that simply unzip all files.

<Installation instructions>

  Just unzip all files to the Plus! Themes directory (by default it is
"c:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\") and run the file "Chrono Cross
(Normal).Theme" (if you have Windows 98 or MSIE 4.0 you can run "Chrono
Cross ACTIVE (Win98 and IE4).Theme" instead). Microsoft Plus! is required,
but you may still install the Theme either manually or by other third-party
programs.

<Active Desktop wallpaper>

This is the most SPECIAL part of my Theme that makes my Theme an innovative
one! Instead of showing a plain and static wallpaper on your desktop, you
can have the following effects on your desktop every time your computer
starts!

- COOL startup animation
- RADOMIZED startup sound
- Chrono Cross opening FMV as your startup desktop (optional)

It's cool isn't it? In order to enjoy these effects your computer MUST meet
the following system requirements.

- Windows 98, OR
- Windows 95 with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 installed, OR
- Windows 95 with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 installed (you need to
  have MSIE 4.0 installed before and it must NOT be removed or uninstalled
  before you install MSIE 5.0)

SIMPLY open "Chrono Cross ACTIVE (Win98 and IE4).Theme" INSTEAD OF "Chrono
Cross (Normal).Theme" and the Active Desktop wallpaper will be installed for
you. You may need to RESTART your computer to see the Active Desktop
in action.

On some systems the above method may not work, and in this case you can
still install it manually with the following procedures.

1. Right click on your desktop and choose "Properties".
2. Go to the "Background" tab and browse for "Chrono_Active_Desktop.html"
   in your Theme folder.
3. If you are prompted to enable Active Desktop, choose "Yes".

(Interesting note: You can preview the Active Desktop wallpaper simply by
opening "Chrono_Active_Desktop.html" with your IE broswer. If you know
JavaScript and Dynamic HTML you may even edit the file and change the
animation and other features yourself!)

If after all the above procedures you still see a blank desktop or encounter
any errors PLEASE tell me so that I can fix them.

You will be prompted to enter some options for the program when it's used
for the first time. Just follow the on-screen instructions. In IE5 you may
need to DOUBLE-CLICK on the scroll bar to scroll the options window.

It should run fast enough on an average machine (P200, 32M RAM), but if it's
still slow, remember that it runs BEST in 16-bit "high color" mode.
